Flashback 2015

In 2015 I grew my first cherokee purple and I was hooked on the deep rich flavor. It was also the first time I grew in pots after years of trying to grow in the soil, fighting with nematodes, excessive rain and Florida’s gardening cycles.

So for 2016: more pots more tomatoes and more heirlooms, I started:

Cherokee purple
Black Krim
Black From Tula
Green Zebra
Japanese Trifele
Paul Robeson
Marvel
Ananas Noir
Black Cherry
Brandywine

Best producing were:
Green zebra
Japanese Trifele
Black Cherry
Black from Tula
Cherokee Purple

Best tasting (to me)
Cherokee Purple
Green Zebra
Brandywine
Japanese Trifele
Marvel
Paul Robeson

And this is where the tomato obsession began.
